About us

Jamia Millia Islamia

In the Indian subcontinent, Allah raised a dedicated group of scholars who, with sincerity and sacrifice, worked tirelessly to preserve and spread Islam. Despite hardships, they established madaris, mosques, and khanqahs, ensuring the continuity of Islamic education and spiritual guidance. These scholars, relying on local support, laid the foundation for a system that continues to serve the Ummah today.

Before the partition, the scholars of Ludhiana played a significant role in this mission. After the creation of Pakistan, Hazrat Maulana Anees-ur-Rahman Ludhianvi, under the guidance of Hazrat Shah Abdul Qadir Raipuri and Sheikh-ul-Hadith Maulana Zakariyya Kandhlawi, established Madrasah Tajweed-ul-Quran in 1947, later renamed Jamia Millia Islamia. Since its inception, the Jamia has been flourishing, providing essential religious and academic education.

This institution holds a unique historical and spiritual status, as it served as the first center of the Tablighi Jamaat under the guidance of renowned scholars like Hazrat Shah Abdul Qadir Raipuri, Sheikh-ul-Hadith Maulana Zakariyya, Hazrat Maulana Yusuf Kandhlawi, and Pir Syed Nafees Al-Hussaini. Their mentorship and prayers continue to be a source of immense blessings, allowing the Jamia’s influence to spread worldwide.

May Allah bless this noble effort and keep its legacy alive. Ameen.

The Banat (Girls') Department has been an integral part of Jamia since its establishment, dedicated to providing authentic Islamic education in a structured and nurturing environment. The curriculum follows the Wifaq-ul-Madaris syllabus, offering a complete Dars-e-Nizami program up to Dawrah Hadith, along with Hifz and Nazirah classes to strengthen Quranic learning.

To accommodate women who are unable to pursue full-time religious education due to personal commitments, the Fahm-e-Deen Course has been introduced. This specially designed program enables them to gain essential Islamic knowledge in a concise and effective manner. Additionally, short-term courses are conducted during holidays, covering various spiritual, moral, and practical aspects of Islamic teachings, empowering women with the knowledge and values needed to lead a righteous life.

With a commitment to academic excellence and spiritual growth, Jamia Millia Islamia for Girls continues to enlighten and empower generations of women with sacred Islamic knowledge.
